How did you start your brand?

Selling exclusively to Madison (women’s)

How did you come up with the name Herlo?

After hearing the pathetic ways guys would holla at girls, I put my twist on the word HELLO and it stuck as my nick name HERLO?

Where are you based and what do you like (or dislike) about living and working there?

We are based in LA downtown, love living and working here.

What qualities set you apart from other T-Shirt making companies?

Our fit and fabric sets us apart from the other guys.

What is your process for creating a new T-Shirt, do you screen print yourselves? Etc.

We start with the fabrication, specialty wash, ending with the print.

What inspiration/influences do you draw from when creating new designs?

Music, art, Cali lifestyle.

Do you bring artists/designers in to collaborate on T-shirts? If so, how do you go about finding them and deciding to include them in your line?

We decide the direction of the line, we do not collaborate with artists.

What were you doing before this?

Music Management

When are you most productive? Do you come up with your best ideas while you’re just hanging out or in a full-fledged business brainstorm session?

I’m most productive when I’m out living life, in the hollywood scene, at the beach, or just chilling at happy hr.

Is there any direction you hope to take your line in in the next year or so? Are you planning on doing anything differently?

We feel that we are already ahead of the curve with our fit, the direction for the next season is set; we just hope that our buyers across the world can see that, and give HERLO? a try in their area.

What do you like to do when you’re not developing and distributing awesome T-Shirts?

Going to dinner with my insanely hot ass girlfriend, partying in night clubs in the hollywood area, and riding my beach cruiser on the beach in Santa Monica and Venice boardwalks.
