D-Structure is excited to feature returning artist Nick Beery for the November installation. Beery’s new show “The Deathside: A dark tribute to Star Wars, Pop Culture, Underground Evil and a deathly fairwell to the repetitious mutations of fan art” will run for the entire month with an opening reception on Friday, November 4. Limited edition Tee’s with Beery’s designs will be available for purchase at the event, along with prints, and more!

Back from their two year hiatus the garage-rock/indie/one-of-my-favorite-bands, The Strokes, are back. Their new album Angles dropped early last month.
The album cover art appears to be a homage to M.C. Escher’s Stairs. I recommend giving the album a listen to. Despite taking a break from recording, The Strokes still manage to retain their signature sound. Be careful though! The single Under Cover of Darkness is incredibly addictive. The video is not bad either. I bet that “Play” button feels pretty violated.

Last week Radiohead released the first edition of their newspaper, The Universal Sigh. Featuring short stories, art, and poetry, the newspaper was designed to help promote upcoming release of their new album, The King of Limbs. The newspaper, which seems very similar to a zine, is available for free at various locations. To our neighbors in San Francisco, you can try to snag a copy at Amoeba Records in the upper Haight.
