David Crossland
In October of 1978, Dave Crosland was born to hard-working parents in the wilds of Buffalo, NY. Since graduating from The Columbus College of Art and Design in 2000, he’s pursued a steady career in freelance illustration. This delicious youngster’s art has appeared on underground concert posters for bands such as Jane’s Addiction, Rufus Wainwright, and Galactic. This led to his work appearing as a backdrop design for Incubus during Lollapalooza 2003. Crosland’s ties to the music world continued, as he created illustrations for hip-hop guru Blueprint’s solo album, “1988,” and the worldwide release of Gym Class Heroes’ gold record, “As Cruel As School Children.” Weaving his art into the music industry also pushed Dave’s work into the world of extreme sports, as he created two lines of board designs for Ride Snowboards. Dave currently resides in lovely West Oakland, CA, where he paints odd images of lonely space cowboys, writes and draws his next wave of indie comics, and spends the late hours of the night sipping wine & smoking on the deck of the S.S. Helen.
