DSSF presents “T-Shirt Design Contest!”

DSSF is hosting it’s 1st Graphic Design Competition for the Japanese brand launch look book!
Begins Tuesday the 9th and goes till Monday morning the 15th

DSSF has been contacted by Japanese distributors to launch a line in Japan. What we’ve decided to do is invite back all previouse DSSF artists and the public to create designs for the Japanese look book! Although this is time sensative, with only 6 days to produce a final design.
The designs will be picked by the DSSF panel and sent along with our look book to japan, we’re Tokyo distributors will pick a dozen or so designs to launch in Japan. Also, the second and more lucrative design will be of a set of ski’s.
Japanese free-skiers have been growing in numbers the last several years, and 7 designs will be picked for Japanese distribution.

The chosen artists will receive a percentage of sales as compensation.
Interested artists are to contact Devon for templates, logos, and information at Devon@d-structure.com and with the subject reading DSSF DESIGN COMP!!!
Japanese Taste in Design
The Japaneses apparel industry favors simple designs, and prominent logos of the brand.

Japanese taste in Shirt Apparel is very picky and they stray away from more art inspired works. Same with the ski designs. DSSF is fairly famous in Japan. So they also prefer a prominent logo.
The lighting bolt is also our logo symbol.

I have attached an example of our lighting bolt, and artists are encouraged to incorporate their own style into the bolt. All designs must be submitted by Monday morning at 11:00am feb 15th.
Apply the AI design to the stand alone shirt template and super impose the ai design to the model blanks.
attached are the files needed.

Compesation is $1 on every t-shirt sold past initial costs. Depending on set up fee’s and print quality, this could be after the first $300 to $500. These shirts will be sold at wholesale to japan around $12 a piece to the distributors. Designers can suggest print methods and colors. Compensation for ski designs runs the same, after initial cost is paid a particular amount of sales from 6-12% are awarded to the artist.

E-mail me for ai templates and logos. Devon@d-structure.com
