Most people that know me, know that I am really white. I mean, I golf, I wear loafers, and I own about a dozen pairs of khakis… Okay so that last bit isn’t true, I don’t own khakis. But if you read the book “Stuff white people like”, you’d see me score about 80 out of 100 on the whiteness score ( Joe Biden is about a 90, Carlton from fresh prince is about a 96). Either way, the book mentions how much white people like acoustic guitar. It’s true. When I have a son, I will give him a guitar at a young age, because when he goes to college, he will want to be that guy. Women Love men that play the guitar, women also love Rap artists. How do I know this? Watch a rap video, these guys have an army of women in their mansion parties, with Cristal, and gin, and juice.

Hey everyone, sorry I haven’t been doing any posts lately. Just moved into a new place and don’t have the internet yet, a blessing and a curse. So while I am “borrowing” internet for the few minutes that it might last, I just want to update all of you on some upcoming shows involving the Hieroglyphics Family and Ineffable Music Groups. I hope to see all of you there.

DSSF is proud to unveil our newest exhibition which features the works and installation by Joshua Laywer. Join us on March 5th at 8pm for the opening of Fluffy Water. About the artist Joshua Laywer:
Joshua lawyer works on found wood with a mix of colored led, acrylic as well as house paint and any other kind of paint he can get his hands on. His intentions with found wood are to take something that is garbage to most and make it a beautiful painting. In a way every painting is in its self a redemption story. Fluffy water is a simple and odd way of describing a cloud. So the reason I called the show fluffy water is to explain what I’m trying to do with my paintings in a subtle way. A lot of times I am trying to explain something from different points of view or trying to hit a problem from angels you would never expect.

So I tried to enjoy the superbowl at my local bar (Mad Dog in the Fog), except their was this huge commotion outside… The 22 bus had it’s wheelchair lift extended out and broke open the fire hydrant. The crowd outside where all cheering and laughing, tweeting and taking photos. This included me, until I realized the water was rushing down the street…Right into our lift gate. I ran down into the basement to find about a foot of water covering the ground. So on the one hand, this was pretty cool thing to see, but on the other hand, it really sucks that we lost our game day buzz to cleaning up the basement. Could have been worse though. Tomorrow I will be doing an interview with SINCERE and NIMA FADAVI regarding their upcoming joint album release, THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM. With Sincere on the mic coming clean with the vocals and Nima Fadavi with his amazing production skills on the beats, the soon to be released album should be a very hot piece of music. We here at DSSF are very excited to have the opportunity to interview these two up and coming artists and find out all we can about them.
