Interview with TASO

Paul B: Do you have any listening suggestions for anyone out there that’s reading this article?

Taso: Yea. Listen to my crew. No one else is so I hope all of you do. You’re helping us out and we will help you out by putting out only the freshest shit you’ve ever heard.

This statement by TASO is what I would like to be the basis for the majority of the interviews I do for this blog. The idea behind this is that I will be interviewing artists that I am assuming most of you don’t know but you need to know. These are up and coming artists that are people just like you and me and would love new fans and more support. In the music industry today, so flooded with all of the artists that make music, many many talented musicians get lost in the mix. I hope to fix that.

The Cold Avenger!

I know it’s winter, and everyone is trying to get as much snow as el nino, and global warming will allow, this might make those days in the powder a little more enjoyable. The Cold Avenger is more then just a mask to make you look like a villain from a James Bond film, it’s a device that changes the cold air you breath in into warm air through a ventilation system.

Album You Should Be Listening To This Week – Mind Over Matter – Zion I

Zion I – Inner Light
Zion I – Elevation
Welcome to another blog for The Album You Should Be Listening To This Week. I have decided this time to go way way back to my very first taste of what I like to consider “Real” hip-hop. I believe it was my junior year of high school, and at the time I listened to pretty much anything that wasn’t hip-hop. I hated the genre because in my naive eyes and ears it was nothing but over produced non sense, but that was only …

Le Grand Content

A Film by Clemens Kogler together with Karo Szmit. Voice by Andre Tschinder.
Le Grand Content examines the omnipresent Powerpoint-culture in search for its philosophical potential. Intersections and diagrams are assembled to form a grand ‘association-chain-massacre’. which challenges itself to answer all questions of the universe and some more. Of course, it totally fails this assignment, but in its failure it still manages to produce some magical nuance and shades between the great topics death, cable tv, emotions and hamsters.

Album You Should Be Listening To This Week – I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead – El-P

So if you haven’t been able to tell yet, I am very big on underground hip-hop. I got into underground hip-hop about 5 years ago and ever since I was tricked into listening to it, hip-hop has become an obsession of mine. However, the further into the future we get, the less and less “underground” these artists have become, which I think is a very good thing. But for those of you who are as into hip hop as I am, you will probably know all about El-P because of …

On the topic of beatboxing…

Seeing Azikiwee’s post about beatboxing got me to thinking about someone who those who are into beatboxing might know about, but that many people likely do not. He goes by “Beardyman” and is a two time UK Beatbox champion, winning both in 2006 and 2007 making him the first beatboxer in UK history to win two championships in a row.
